These feelings can be profoundly lonely and confusing, leaving one grasping for a sense of direction. I work directively and collaboratively to help them regain a greater sense of orientation within their own lives and discover the meanings behind their struggles. I aim to create the therapeutic conditions necessary for this; for example, by responding compassionately and attentively to the unique needs and issues of each client. I see clients of all ages, and varied ethnic, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds. , I mainly utilize a psychodynamic approach, but my practice is also grounded in mind-body practices. Other modalities I draw upon include EMDR, The Stages of Recovery in trauma work, CBT, and narrative therapy.
