My approach is integrative, and draws on effective evidence-based treatments - including insight oriented approaches (psychodynamic), skill building approaches (cognitive-behavioral), and other collaborative and developmental interventions. Calm attention, compassion, energy, and creativity are important components of my approach; I recognize that therapy is a considerable commitment, and I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment for our work. , I seek to help you and/or your child increase awareness, build resiliency skills, and adjust behavioral patterns that are no longer working for you. I view therapy as most effective when we address not only the immediate challenges, but also the root causes of these problems in order to make lasting change.
