About Us

I am a Licensed Counseling Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in both the US and Jamaica. Some of the experiences include working with clients who present with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders and conduct disorders. Along with my clinical work, I spent 17 years teaching college students and see myself as both a clinician and teacher with my clients. I pride myself on being able to motivate, guide and support clients, as well as teach them how to help themselves. I am also the founder and director of the business In the Name of Children, LLC. , " I specialize in the treatment of children and adolescents, adults, families, and groups; I have extensive training in eating disorders and couples therapy, and I am a certified divorce mediator. I am also a Qualified Supervisor MHC and I provide individual and group supervision to registered mental health counselor interns pursuing licensure. ", Although I am willing to adopt an eclectic approach in my practice, I am client-centered and regard the client and their issue as priority number one. I also use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and aspects of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) as both approaches put the client in control of themselves and their therapeutic goals.
