My parents were hard-working people and promoted values of responsibility, honesty, and the ability to care for others. I enjoy listening to smooth jazz and am an avid reader, mostly of spiritual and life-enhancing material. I have 11 years of experience in the mental/behavioral health field; received both a B.A. in Psychology and Masters of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. In a prior life, I worked as a Licensed Mortgage Broker. , I practice using a Rogerian client-centered approach in which "I meet the client where they\re at". I am flexible in the use of therapeutic interventions. However, I believe that thoughts generate feelings and feelings drive behavior. My go-to is CBT and therapies under its umbrella. I have extensive experience in crisis intervention. , In my work as a private practitioner, I mainly service age groups ranging from young adults to senior citizens.
