About Us

My name is Fernanda Maytorena-Unger, LCSW. I wanted to let you know that the struggle is real! Through the years, I’ve witnessed a great deal of challenges individuals from diverse backgrounds face. These struggles range from stress management, anxiety, and depression to trauma experiences that impact the way we function affecting our mind, body, and soul significantly. Mental Health looks, feels, and manifests differently for each individual. The challenge is not finding the right treatment or clinical modality that may work in therapy but understanding that this is not a “one size fits all” treatment. , The most important part of engaging in psychotherapy is being able to feel that you have been heard and seen for who you are while being reminded that your current circumstances do not define you. I provide my clients with a safe and judgment-free space while promoting ownership of their own journey. , My goal as a therapist is to be able to provide you with that safe space where you will be able to vent and be in charge of your treatment allowing me to guide you through the process as you heal.
