Trained at the Yale Center for Traumatic Stress and Recovery, I help young adults and families who are struggling in the wake of recent traumatic events, or stressful events that may have happened years ago. Clients I have helped on the path to recovery have experienced sexual, physical or emotional abuse, domestic, school or community violence, motor vehicle accidents, loss of a parent or important attachment figure, natural or man-made disasters, a stressful life change, and multiple or complex traumas. They may also suffer from symptoms of anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, and have difficulties concentrating or sleeping. , I use evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), TF-CBT, Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) and incorporate DBT skills as needed.
