About Us

I am working with both adolescents and adults. My theoretical orientation to counseling and psychotherapy is rooted in the philosophy of a humanistic-existential approach to human functioning. I use the tenets of individual responsibility to choice and decision-making and apply them within a cognitive-behavioral perspective (CBT) to counseling and clinical work. I consider myself a generalist with specialty training in cognitive rehabilitation, vocational/career counseling, as well as psychoeducational testing and other evaluations, such as pre-surgical evaluations (e.g., for bariatric procedures). , " In addition to practicing as a mental health therapist, I hold national certifications as a certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) and certified vocational evaluation specialist (CVE). I have over 12 years experience in the counseling field working with diverse populations, including gender and sexual minorities (i.e., LGBTQ) and individuals with congenital and acquired disabilities. ", I have received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish, a Master of Science degree in rehabilitation counseling with a focus on psychiatric disabilities from the University of North Florida, and Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Arts degrees in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California.
