" It can be hard to change our habits and ways of relating with ourselves and with others even when old patterns are causing significant emotional pain. For real change to take place, something beyond motivation and a commitment to change is often needed. What can make a real difference involves finding a receptive person and an accepting environment that fosters a deeper understanding of ones self. I strive to provide such a receptive and safe environment to my clients with the hope that they feel listened to, understood, and recognized in their desires to get to know themselves, to connect with others and to feel alive in the world ", Contemporary psychoanalytic approach is the foundation of my work. Being a psychoanalyst, in addition to being a psychotherapist, enables me to offer psychoanalytic treatment to clients who feel ready to engage in intensive work with the hope for vital, lasting changes in their lives. I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish. , I have been working with both adults and children for over 10 years and have extensive experience working with immigrants, particularly Latinos, who struggle with issues related to living away from their home country. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and appreciate the courage it takes to share complex experiences with someone new in their lives
