At times, life can be painful, heartbreaking, and completely devastating. As we go through life, we are constantly exposed to reality gaps—the gaps between the reality we have and the reality we want. The larger the gap, often, the more unsettling the pain. I meet people where they are and help them work to meet their personal goals and values. I’m skilled at creating an environment in which individuals feel heard, understood, and affirmed, but also challenged. I have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents experiencing chronic depression, anxiety, attachment issues, and interpersonal relationship conflict. , " I frequently use an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) lens, which means we will spend time looking at your thoughts (what the minds chatter is saying) and systems that you are a part of (family, school, career, hobbies, etc.). ACT is a non-linear and flexible model that involves meeting clients where they are in the present moment. ", I am a strong believer in the notion that small changes propel us forward.
