Adolescence consists of dramatic emotional, social and physical changes. For more then 20 years, I have worked with adolescents and young adults in and out of the school/college setting. I specialize in connecting with young adults by using a client centered approach to counseling. Using aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative and solution focused therapy, clients gain self awareness and develop strategies to reduce feelings of anxiety and/or mild depression. I also specialize in helping parents and young adults effectively communicate with one another, and stay connected during this challenging stage of development. , Having started my career as a School Counselor, I understand how the social atmosphere, the pressures and rigorous curriculum, coupled with extra curricular activities can be challenging for teens.
