Current openings-I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with 17 years of experience as a clinician and counselor educator. I specialize in working with adults, pre-teens, and adolescents, and am an ally with the LGBTQIA+ community. I work with clients experiencing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and childhood sexual abuse or sexual assault. I am trained in evidence-based practices (supported by research). Prior to working full time in private practice, I was a college professor and enjoy working with university faculty members and staff. , Clients work with me on understanding themselves more fully, coping with life challenges such as divorce or burnout, and navigating difficult relationships. I use strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore how we think and what we believe about ourselves, identifying what works for us or not, and what we can do about it. , With pre-teens and teens, I am experienced with play therapy and work with clients who feel different or struggle with school or friends.
