About Us

I provide individual psychotherapy to clients in CT and NY. Sometimes our most debilitating problems can be solved by learning what to do differently and developing the capacity to do it. There are also times when we already know what changes we should make, but we feel blocked from making those changes. We feel compelled to repeat the same broken patterns of behavior despite our best intentions. When this is the problem, psychotherapy becomes a process of uncovering our unique reasons for being stuck. By bringing these blind spots into view, psychotherapy can help us address our anxiety about change and enhance our motivation. , I have clinical training in CBT and psychodynamic therapy, and basic training in mentalization-based treatment (MBT) and mindfulness approaches. I work with clients who have mental health disorders and those whose symptoms are caused by trauma or by major life transitions (for example, graduating from college, divorce, grief/loss, retirement, and more). , " Starting with a new therapist can often feel daunting and vulnerable.
