I bring a down-to-earth approach to what can be a difficult, but rewarding, process. I have been practicing since 1999 and have learned, without a doubt, that people heal and grow when they feel safe, not judged and understood. So, that is exactly what you can expect. I work deeply and emphasize teaching clients about their emotional lives. Psychological difficulties are often rooted in barriers to knowing, understanding or supporting ones feelings and needs. This leads to emotional distress and is at the root of anxiety, depression, and the impact of trauma. This is often the emphasis of therapy. , " I have an expertise in understanding personality, which significantly impacts coping strategies and reactions to events. I help clients to understand this part of themselves and whether this impacts the difficulties theyre having. I primarily use Gestalt and cognitive therapies and find these to be an effective combination.
