Are you feeling stressed, worried, or down? I work with people who feel stuck, weighed down, or emotionally on edge. Often, these feelings are related to traumatic or upsetting life events. These experiences can be big or small, have happened recently or many years ago. Often, it feels like the mind is constantly running, making sleep difficult and emotions either overwhelming or numb. I help people find relief through understanding and reprocessing. We will collaborate to uncover your unique experience and development in a society structured by forces which perpetuate racism, sexism, and heteronormativity. , I take a trauma-informed approach, meaning I have an understanding of how trauma impacts the body, brain, and spirit. I am privileged to have been trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches including EMDR. No single therapeutic intervention is best for everyone and I take great care in using research to inform which approach may be the best for you. , Some clients prefer weekly therapy while others want to work intensively.
