Since 18 years of age, my life’s work has been bridging Buddhist teachings (compassion, lovingkindness, wisdom, clear-seeing) with psychotherapy (the art of listening, reflecting, guiding).The depth of the contemplative path allows for deep inquiry; psychotherapy allows for profound reflection, healing, guidance, and relaxation of inner conflicts. I trained at Naropa University’s Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling Program, Boulder Jails, the VA’s Nat’l Center for PTSD, and Naropa Community Counseling, to name a few. , I serve people of diverse backgrounds, ages, genders, ethnicities, and needs, from chronic illness/disability to those who are looking to deepen their self-understanding and impact in the world. My approach is grounded, straightforward, and warm-hearted, utilizing methods including ACT, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Metta (Lovingkindness) and Karuna (Compassion). , The most important qualities to feel with your counselor are trust, integrity, and connection, so you feel comfortable as they help you navigate life’s challenges, and recognize/bolster your strengths.
