About Us

I specialize in helping teens and adults with autism and/ or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs), and I’ve worked with patients with histories of trauma, anxiety, and depression. I believe that much psychological distress comes from gaps in our understanding of ourselves and others and that meaningful therapy is a process by which client and therapist think together to expand awareness and fill in those gaps. This can look like learning the “invisible” rules of social relationships, discovering our abilities to use emotional-regulation skills, or coming to know parts of ourselves that we’ve felt were not safe to know. , I believe treatment can have an impact from the start, but I reject the idea that it should occur on a set timeline or in a cookie-cutter format. Instead, I will meet you where you are at and work along with you to reach agreed-upon goals. My approach is marked by an earnest interest in you that helps engender your concern for and curiosity about yourself. , Trust in and comfort with your therapist are critical for therapy.
