Cynthia DeSantis is a licensed clinical social worker. This is the highest clinical social work license that can be earned to practice as an independent psychotherapist. Cynthia completed her MSW degree from Virginia Commonwealth University graduating with honors. She is a well-respected clinician with over 25 years of experience. She relocated her successful long-term private practice as a psychotherapist in the Washington, DC/College Park, MD area, to Colorado. Cynthia has extensive clinical experience working with a wide variety of clients, families, and couples of different ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. , Cynthia helps clients suffering with depressive, anxiety, and panic disorders, bi-polar disorder, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder. She is competent in dealing with grief, loss, sleeping problems, and eating disorders, especially males with disordered eating. Cynthia has a solid understanding of when psychopharmacology is warranted. , Cynthia actively engages and deeply listens so she can provide interactive and collaborative therapy in a safe environment.
