About Us

I’m Alex, a Colorado-located counselor and art therapist. I specialize in anxiety, depression, women’s issues, coping, and LGBTQIA+ issues. As an art therapist, I offer the opportunity to discover more through expressive arts, if that interests you. General goals and outcomes that I typically work toward include: Practicing acceptance of things we do not have control over, while committing to making the positive changes that we can. Learning to tolerate unpleasant realities of life while working toward achieving personally meaningful goals. Living in alignment with personal values. Improving communication and boundaries. , I take an upfront and honest approach to therapy. I like to work in concepts from dialectical behavior therapy which can include mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, acceptance and commitment. I find value in psycho education — teaching you about evidence based techniques you can work into your daily life. , I believe that each person holds the answers to their questions. I hope to serve as a partner in your self discovery, focused on building transformational solutions and modifying personal narratives to grow self-love.
