My journey as a counselor began with an avid curiosity about understanding people and grew into a sincere desire to heal. I am a behaviorist by nature, but I have learned through experience that it is only one aspect of healing. After raising my family learning to understand the impact of unresolved behavioral and mental health issues, I decided to pursue a master’s in mental health counseling. Desiring the best for clients, I endeavor to learn which approaches can achieve the best results. , Though I am a behaviorist by nature, when I learned of the significant impact trauma has to the mind and body and the role which EMDR has in its resolution I determined to become better informed. As a result, pursued training in EMDR and trauma response. , I bring a unique perspective which integrates the theological-philosophical-psychological nature of the mind-body-soul relationship through thoughtful exploration. My goal for all clients is to help them discover within themselves the desire and ability to flourish. I work with individuals of all ages.
