It can be hard to make the decision to start therapy, and equally as hard to stick to it. This is one of the primary reasons I became a therapist, to help those who’ve struggled with conventional methods. My experience has had a big impact on how I’ve structured clinical practice, leading me to throw the proverbial couch out the window and go with a more direct, accountability-based approach. Whether you’re working on processing a negative self-image, relationship difficulty, career stressors, or other symptoms related to anxiety or depression, we’ll always be working to build mindfulness, purpose, and intention towards your goals. , Working with me would have you learning to utilize engaging tools, through weekly assignments, from several different modalities (CBT, Narrative, DBT, etc) to actively address your identified needs. Much of this will be decided by your strengths, and the way you choose to approach increasing your quality of life. I might advise, but you direct your therapy. , I\ve worked with issues ranging from "Failure to Launch" and "Sunday Scaries" to bipolar disorder, the autism spectrum, and ADHD. I have experience with individual’s ages six and up, families, traditional and non-traditional relationships, and those in high-performance professions. I’m a vocal LGBTQ advocate, and mindful of religious beliefs.
