We’ve all inherited something. Height. Skin color. The way we laugh. But we’ve also received invisible things. Our sense of safety. Confidence. Narratives about our worth and ways of thinking and seeing the world. We are recipients of those around us in both beautiful and painful ways. And—whether we want them or not—these are the things we build our life on. However we are not merely what we have received, we also get to choose. We get to live a life that reflects the deepest and truest parts of ourself and extend that into the world and to the ones we love. , Together we will work to disrupt harmful patterns, uproot painful stories or beliefs that might exist, learn the skills of healthy interaction and emotional security, realign with who you want to be, and practice cultivating these to create a full and meaningful life.
