I seek to align my approach with my values, which is why I work to provide anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, intersectional, trauma-informed, trans and gender-diverse informed, poly-friendly, kink-aware, collaborative and person-centered counselling services.\nMy counselling approach is Integrative based on my training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, DBT for CPTSD, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnosis, and Motivational Interviewing.\n , In addition, I bring my interest in Intersectionality, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and body-oriented therapy to my work. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked for several years in community-based anti-violence services. I have experience supporting people with: domestic violence/assault, homelessness, and substance use. , I have helped people dealing with life challenges linked to living with anxiety, depression, overwhelming emotions/emotional regulation difficulties, and neurodivergence. Additionally, I have experience supporting people in alternative relationship structures including polyamorous, TPE, D/s, and ethical non-monogamy.
