Welcome! My name is Clem and I am an Asian Canadian of Chinese descent, originally from Toronto but have called BC home since 1998. My journey in the healing professions began 20 years ago in Victoria, BC, where I studied Shiatsu and other Eastern healing traditions. Since then, I have developed a personal therapeutic style that incorporates social justice, compassion, and a holistic view of the individual. I know that choosing a counsellor can be a daunting experience; it requires a commitment of energy, resources, and a great deal of courage. I have the deepest admiration and respect for anyone who is willing to ask for help. , My counselling approach is a blend of various modalities, but I primarily take a Person-Centered approach that is based in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (a mind-body approach), and Attachment Theory. I have also worked extensively with survivors of trauma and clients living with chronic illnesses, drawing on Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, and CBT. , When I am away from the office, you may find me exploring the North Shore Mountains or playing hockey at the local rink. However, my true passion is fly-fishing. I am a true foodie; I love to bring my daily catch from stream to table to share with friends and family.
