About Us

Hi! I’m Alex! I am excited about helping all sorts of folks navigate life’s challenges with empathy and understanding; my approach is client-centred and grounded in fostering trust and empowerment through the work we do in therapy. My goal is to meet you where you are at and to work collaboratively to help you to cultivate feelings of purpose, calm and emotional flexibility. As an intern counsellor my methods are based in anti-oppressive and trauma-informed practices and are guided by the philosophy of holism. In counselling I aim to help integrate all aspects of your life and to attend to you completely as we navigate life together , My own experiences have helped me develop an approach that borrows from several modalities and incorporates focuses on the cognitive, emotional and physical aspects of your lived experience. My work is informed by emotion-focused and acceptance-based theories of counselling with a particular emphasis on the exploring the experience of mind-body connection. , Nobody moves through life without experiencing struggles and these challenges can loom large, especially when we face them alone. Whether you are experiencing crisis or want to unpack and make sense of the events of your life, I invite you to reach out and begin the work of healing in an environment shaped by humour and compassion.
