Being vulnerable with a stranger, even if they are your therapist, is often uncomfortable and scary! When starting therapy with me, I encourage people to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable. You are in charge of what we talk about during sessions. My goal is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment where we can talk about your life, struggles, and goals. I believe that everyone has the ability to make meaningful changes in their lives. Sometimes we need someone to add perspective, guide you through learning new tools, and/or just listen. , In therapy, we will discuss what is happening right now in your life, including your thoughts, behaviours, emotions, and body sensations. We will also discuss your life story that has led you to where you are and how it still impacts you today. By doing so, we can work together to change patterns in your life to better fit your present needs and goals. , I work with people who are looking for someone to help change your communication patterns to be more productive, find a better tool to deal with the stresses and struggles in life, break patterns that are holding you back, and/or learn to be comfortable with intimacy and their sexuality.
