I\m a Ph.D.-level psychologist who is specialized with trauma-informed therapy. Through my work, I derive a massive amount of joy from seeing people (a) realizing that intergenerational trauma may be ending with them, (b) realizing that they are healing or unwinding from what they\ve been through, (c) realizing that they aren\t "stuck in the past" anymore, (d) realizing that they like themselves "for the first time" in their lives, (e) realizing that they have never felt better, and last but not least, (f) realizing that they are getting excited about change ... especially when it wasn\t imaginable just a short time ago. , For these reasons, I love my job. I have 23 years of counselling experience, 11 years of private practice, 14 years of University, 3 psychology degrees, and roughly 2000 hours of supervised counselling with senior psychologists (in one of the very few university counselling programs in Canada that is accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association). , I have an extensive counselling background with indigenous people. I was honoured by being chosen as one of a handful of support psychologists for the National Truth & Reconciliation and I am privileged to be on the very short-list of approved providers for First Nations and Inuit Health, Canada. Along this journey, I have become a student of Gabor Mate.
