Hi, I’m Alyssa (she/her), and I’m so glad you’re here. Before pursuing my Master of Counselling, I spent five years as a teacher, where I discovered my passion for supporting mental health and helping students through social and emotional challenges. As someone who was diagnosed later in life with autism and ADHD, my own mental health journey further inspired me to help neurodivergent individuals lead more authentic lives. I believe education is powerful, and most of us were never taught about our mental health. However, learning to understand our mind can give us the tools to live life more vulnerably, honestly, and authentically. , For children and families, I use my knowledge of the school system to provide practical tools and advocacy support. For teens, I offer guidance in navigating self-discovery, social pressures, and confidence-building. For neurodivergent individuals, I help them understand their mind and break free from the expectations of neurotypical norms. , Ultimately, you know better than anyone what is best for you. I am here to help guide you towards those understandings and offer a space to be heard, supported, and to move through what life has thrown at you. I care to connect, and approach people with warmth, empathy, humor, and non-judgemental understanding. I look forward to meeting you!
