About Us

I work primarily with individuals, providing psychotherapy (talk therapy) and medication when needed. Much of my experience has involved helping people with depression, relationship problems, parenting or medical illness. I have friends and colleagues from various ethnic, SOGI and religious backgrounds. I understand firsthand the pain of divorce, and as a parent I understand the challenges of this (sometimes) impossible job! , I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner who has been in practice over 30 years. I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Illinois. I have been trained as a psychotherapist, and later I became licensed to prescribe medication. For many people this combination works very well, especially for depression or anxiety. , I have many years of experience as a psychotherapist and prescriber. Few mental health professionals are able to provide both parts of this "gold standard" of treatment. But if you already have a therapist, I am happy to prescribe medication only. Please note that I am OUT-OF-NETWORK for all insurance carriers.
