Hi, I’m Dr. Nubia Chong. I work collaboratively with adults to carefully create an individualized plan for people looking to address the effects of imbalance and disconnection within their lives. This includes (but is not limited to) Depression, Anxiety, unresolved Trauma & PTSD, and other difficulties with emotion regulation. I work from a trauma informed framework and communicate in a way that is respectful, offers hope and genuine connection. I aim to center your ability to exercise self-determination, honoring that you are the expert in yourself. , I practice through an anti-marginalization & justice lens and meet you where you’re at while maximizing the power of your strengths. In addition to my traditional western psychiatry training, I have specialized training in mind-body therapies and somatic approaches that honor the innate healing abilities of the body & community, which I bring into treatment. , If we work together I will collaborate with you to understand from a developmental perspective, ‘what happened to you” as an alternative to “what’s wrong with you.” We’ll make sure to honor the adaptive nature of the symptoms you’re looking to address for a better quality of life.
