I am a physician with expertise managing anxiety, mood disorders and medical problems related to chronic stress and anxiety. My goal is to help you better manage difficiult problems in life transitions, work and relationships. My work includes teaching mindful awareness strategies moment to moment to help build insight and better understanding of yourself. You will understand the inter-relationship between physical issues and brain function and how medication works to change this dynamic. My goal is to help patients become more self-aware with new insights and use less medication. , I use Motivational lnterviewing techniques and Adaptive Behavioral techniques to help clarify your health and behavioral problems. The process from your perception to your behavior can be changed to improve the choices you make in all parts of your life. Insight leads to changing self concept and better stability in your life. , You will use a worksheet or journal to help you understand how stress impacts thinking, feelings, bodily reactions and behavior from the lowest to the highest levels of stress. You will uncover causes for your recurring stress. The process works by helping create new, more thoughtful responses in place of old automatic reactions and habits.
